This enables them to build trust, relate to diverse stakeholders, and create a sense of belonging and inclusivity.

4. Relationship management: This domain refers to the ability to inspire and influence others, build rapport, and resolve conflicts effectively. Leaders who have high relationship management skills are able to communicate authentically, build consensus, give feedback, and foster a culture of mutual respect and accountability. This enables them to create high-performing teams, retain top talent, and drive innovation and growth.

To become a more emotionally intelligent leader, there are several steps you can take. First, you can start by reflecting on your own emotions, values, and strengths and weaknesses. You can also seek feedback from colleagues, mentors, or coaches to gain a better understanding of how others perceive you. Second, you can practice self-management techniques such as mindfulness or deep breathing to reduce stress and increase focus. Third, you can develop your social awareness skills by actively listening to others, being present in the moment, and showing empathy. Fourth, you can refine your relationship management skills by practicing effective communication, seeking consensus, giving and receiving feedback, and building trust.
