For a decade, Americans went through an economic crisis that has never been matched to this day. With the stock market crashing in 1929, the Great Depression began. This era of economic uncertainty led to the unraveling of the American Dream.

Millions of people, from businessmen to students, went through the hardships of the Depression. Money was scarce, and unemployment rates skyrocketed. Families struggled to feed themselves or even keep a roof over their heads.

As the Depression went on, the government began to take action, hoping to turn things around. President Roosevelt implemented the New Deal, aiming to create new jobs and housing for Americans.

However, the effects of the Great Depression lingered long after it had ended. The American Dream, the idea that anyone could achieve success, had been shattered. Greed and the faulty economy had led to the downfall of a nation.

Today, the Great Depression remains an important turning point in history. It serves as a reminder of the importance of responsible economic policies and the consequences of unchecked greed.
