My Experience as a Student at Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology: An Honest Review

As a former student of Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology, I must say that my experience was a mixed bag of emotions. Galgotias is a reputed college in the NCR region and is known for its engineering and management courses. I enrolled in the college for B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering and graduated in 2018. In this blog, I am sharing my honest review of the college.

Infrastructure:

Let’s start with the infrastructure. Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology has a massive campus spread over 52 acres. The campus has a mix of modern and traditional architecture and is well-maintained. The classrooms are spacious, and the labs are equipped with modern technologies. The library is well-stocked with books and journals, and the reading room is quite comfortable.

Faculty:

The faculty members at Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology are a mix of young and senior teachers. The quality of teaching is decent, but some teachers lack the enthusiasm to teach. However, there are some dedicated teachers who go beyond their duty hours to clear the students’ doubts and ensure their overall growth. The industry exposure given by the faculty is exceptional, and they are always available to support the students.

Student Life:

The college has an active student life, with numerous clubs, societies, and events covering cultural, technical, and sports activities. However, the college focuses only on studies, and the professors often discourage extra-curricular activities. The college fests and events are grand, though, and the students get a chance to showcase their talent.

Placements:

Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology is proud of its excellent placement record. The placement department does an exceptional job of getting the top companies to visit the campus for recruitments. The placement process is streamlined, and the students are given sufficient training to prepare for the placements. The average salary package is 4-5 LPA, and the highest package offered is close to 30 LPA.

Conclusion:

To conclude, Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology is an excellent college for those who want to pursue engineering or management courses. The infrastructure is world-class, the faculty is decent, and the placement record is impressive. The only downside is that the college emphasizes more on studies and less on extra-curricular activities. However, if you are focused on learning, this is a place to be!
