How I Reached My Personal Goals During Lockdown: My Achievements

The COVID-19 pandemic brought the world to a standstill, and lockdowns forced people to stay at home to curb the spread of the virus. While this was a challenging time for many, it also provided an opportunity to focus on personal development and growth. In this article, I’ll be sharing my personal journey and the achievements I made during lockdown.

Setting Goals

At the start of lockdown, I knew that I had to keep myself occupied, and setting goals seemed like the perfect way to do that. I started by writing down a list of things I wanted to achieve. These were not just work-related, but also focused on my personal life. I included things like learning a new skill, starting a fitness routine, and spending more quality time with my family.

Learning a New Skill

One of the goals that was at the top of my list was to learn how to code. So, I enrolled in an online course to learn the basics of web development. Initially, it was a bit overwhelming, and I struggled to keep up with the coursework. However, I persevered, and by the end of the course, I was able to create a simple website from scratch. This achievement gave me a sense of accomplishment and boosted my confidence.

Fitness Routine

With the gyms closed, I knew that I had to find a way to stay active. So, I started a daily fitness routine at home. I would do a combination of cardio, strength training, and yoga. Initially, it was challenging as I had to adapt to working out in a limited space. However, over time, I got used to it, and I started to see the benefits. I lost weight, had more energy, and felt more mentally alert.

Quality Time with Family

Due to our busy schedules, my family and I rarely had the chance to spend quality time together. Lockdown provided the perfect opportunity for us to reconnect and bond. We played board games, watched movies, and cooked meals together. It was a great way to strengthen our relationships and create lasting memories.

Conclusion
