Many Indian dishes incorporate a blend of herbs and spices known as masala, which adds depth of flavor and complexity to the dishes.
Next, let’s travel across the sea to Japan. Japanese culture is famous for its emphasis on harmony, simplicity, and beauty. Ikebana, the art of flower arrangement, is a perfect example of this ethos. Ikebana aims to create balance between asymmetrical elements, to highlight the inherent beauty of natural forms, and to evoke a sense of tranquility and calm. Another aspect of Japanese culture that is widely admired is their cuisine. Japanese food is often presented in an elegant and visually appealing manner, with each dish composed of carefully selected ingredients and arranged in a harmonious way. Sushi, the bite-sized rolls of vinegared rice topped with fish or other seafood, is a quintessential Japanese dish that has become popular all around the world.
Finally, let’s cross the Atlantic and visit the Americas, where Indigenous cultures have a long and rich history. In North America, the Cherokee people have a tradition of storytelling that dates back thousands of years. Known as the “keepers of the traditions,” the Cherokee preserve their culture, language, and history through songs, dances, and tales that are passed down from generation to generation. In Latin America, one of the most vibrant and colorful celebrations is Carnival, which takes place in many different countries and regions. Carnival is a time of music, dance, and elaborate costumes, and is a celebration of life, love, and diversity.
