Discovering Queensland: 5 Day Road Trips from Brisbane

Queensland is one of Australia’s most popular tourism destinations, and it’s not hard to see why. With its stunning natural beauty and diverse range of activities on offer, it’s the perfect place for a road trip.

If you’re based in Brisbane, there are plenty of amazing road trip options that can be completed in just five days. Here are five of the best.

1. Sunshine Coast and Hinterland

The Sunshine Coast is just an hour’s drive from Brisbane and offers a perfect mix of beach and hinterland experiences. Begin your journey in Noosa and explore the famous Hastings Street, which is lined with boutique shops and restaurants. From there, drive to the Eumundi Markets, held every Wednesday and Saturday, before heading to the serene Mary Valley.

If you’re feeling adventurous, take a detour to the Glass House Mountains for some hiking and rock climbing. End your trip in the picturesque town of Montville, known for its art galleries and craft stores.

2. Fraser Island

Fraser Island is the world’s largest sand island and a UNESCO World Heritage-listed site. Start your trip with a ferry ride from Hervey Bay to the island, before embarking on a journey to explore the iconic Lake McKenzie and the Champagne Pools.

4. Gold Coast and Hinterland
