Discovering My Personal Style: How I Took The Test And Found My Fashion Identity
Personal style is all about expressing who you are through the clothes you wear. It’s an extension of your personality, and it’s what sets you apart from everyone else. But how do you discover your personal style in the first place? For me, it all started with taking a fashion identity test.
The first thing I did was to research different fashion identity tests and find one that suited me. After taking the test, I was surprised by the results. It revealed that I was a “Classic Style” person who preferred timeless and elegant pieces. I looked at my wardrobe and realised that I already had many classic pieces, but I had never consciously thought about my style in this way.
From there, I started to focus on building a wardrobe full of classic pieces that I could mix and match with newer, trendier items. I learned that classic style pieces were versatile and could be worn in many different ways, making them perfect for building a wardrobe that could carry me through different seasons and occasions.
But discovering my personal style didn’t stop there; it was an ongoing process. I experimented with different pieces, styles, and colours to see what worked best for me. I also looked to fashion bloggers and influencers to get inspiration and discover new brands and stores that catered to my style.
One of the most helpful things I did was to conduct a wardrobe audit. I went through my closet and got rid of anything that didn’t align with my personal style. This made it easier for me to see the gaps in my wardrobe and invest in pieces that I would get more use out of.
Another thing I learned was the importance of quality over quantity. Investing in higher-quality pieces meant that they would last longer and look better over time. I also started to pay attention to the materials used in my clothes and bought pieces made from natural fibres like cotton and silk, which were comfortable and breathable.
In conclusion, discovering your personal style is all about self-discovery, experimentation, and a little bit of research. Starting with a fashion identity test can be a fun and helpful way to get started on your style journey, but it doesn’t stop there. It’s an ongoing process of learning about yourself and what makes you feel confident and comfortable. Remember that fashion is an expression of who you are, so don’t be afraid to be yourself and let your personal style shine!
