Discovering My Personal Leadership Philosophy Through Assignments
Leadership is a complex concept that can be defined differently depending on the context and the person defining it. As a result, it can be challenging to develop a personal leadership philosophy that guides your actions and decisions as a leader. However, through assignments in various stages of my education and career, I have come to discover my personal leadership philosophy.
The first assignment that helped me develop my leadership philosophy was a group project in college. Our team had to work together to create a marketing plan for a new product. Initially, there were conflicts due to different ideas and approaches. However, through open communication, collaboration, and compromise, we were able to develop a plan that satisfied everyone and earned a high grade. This experience reinforced my belief that a leader should be able to motivate and inspire their team, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and be results-driven.
