Growing up in the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) is not an easy feat. With over 700,000 students spread over more than 1,000 schools, navigating the system can be a challenge. However, it is in this very system that I found my personal journey of growth.
My earliest memories of LAUSD include overcrowded classrooms, outdated textbooks, and limited resources. Despite these challenges, I was fortunate enough to have dedicated teachers who went above and beyond to inspire, motivate, and instill a love of learning in me.
