A day in the life of a Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology student can be described in a multitude of ways. From early morning classes to late night study sessions, here’s a glimpse into what a typical day might look like for us:

Morning: Many students at Rose-Hulman prefer to get an early start to their day, with some starting classes as early as 8am. Some grab a quick breakfast at the Student Union or in their dorm room and head to class, while others take advantage of the recreation center’s gym facilities before starting their busy daily schedule.

Mid-Day: Between classes and homework, students at Rose-Hulman also engage in numerous extracurricular activities on campus. Clubs and organizations host events at lunchtime and students can often be found socializing, attending meetings, or participating in group activities during this time.

Afternoon/Evening: As the afternoon progresses, the study sessions start and students can be found working individually or in groups in one of several study spaces on campus, such as the library, computer labs, or the Engineering Design Center. Although students often work well into the evening, many make sure to take breaks and attend club meetings or sporting events.

Night: After a long day of classes and homework, students still find time to unwind and socialize. Some may attend events on campus while others will hang out in their dorms with roommates or attend social gatherings. However, many students continue to put in work hours long into the night to ensure they are staying on top of coursework and keeping up with deadlines.

Overall, being a student at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology means taking charge of your education and making the most of every opportunity. With a rigorous academic schedule and a variety of extracurricular activities available, students learn to balance it all and make the most of their experience.
