Throughout our lives, we come across many experiences that shape who we are. Some of these experiences we are aware of, but many are out of our knowledge that still have a great influence on our personalities, thoughts, and actions. Here are some things that were not to my knowledge but have influenced my life:

1. Family history

The way my parents and grandparents lived their lives, the struggles they faced, and the values they held have had a great impact on me. I cannot recall specific stories, but the environment in which I grew up has shaped my thinking and perception of life and relationships.

2. Cultural background

Having grown up in a multicultural society has infused diverse perspectives into my personality. While I do not explicitly follow or observe any particular culture, I respect and embrace different practices and beliefs.

3. Books and movies

The books I read, the movies and TV shows I watched as a child and adult, have shaped my imagination, thinking, and choices. Through these mediums, I have discovered different cultures, learned new things, and formed strong opinions.

4. People I interacted with

The people with whom I have interacted, both good and bad, have left a lasting impact on my mind. They have influenced my beliefs, choices, and personality in ways I may or may not be aware of.

5. Historical events

The historical events that happened generations before my birth, have indirectly influenced my life. The aftermaths of wars, revolutions, and political movements have affected every aspect of society, including me.

6. Educators and mentors

The educators and mentors I have had in my life have played a vital role in shaping my thought process and actions. Their teachings have given me direction, clarity, and purpose.

7. Social media

Social media platforms have become a significant part of our lives, whether we like it or not. From the news we read to the people we follow, social media has a substantial impact on our lives and has shaped my perception of society and the world around us.

In conclusion, these are some things that were not to my knowledge but have had a significant impact on my life. Experiences, people, and events, both big and small, have molded me into the person I am today. It is essential to recognize and acknowledge these experiences to understand the forces that shape our lives.
