2. Fields of Study

3. Scholarship Amount

The scholarship amount for day scholars is INR 5,400 per month, while for hostelers, it is INR 7,800 per month. In addition, students are also provided with a one-time book grant of INR 10,000.

4. Application Procedure

The application process for the Ishan Uday scholarship is entirely online. The applicant has to visit the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) and register themselves. The application process is open from August to November every year.

5. Documents Required

Apart from filling in the application form, candidates need to upload their domicile certificate, income certificate, admission certificate, studying certificate, and bank account details.

6. Selection Criteria

The selection of students for the scholarship is based on the merit in the qualifying examination. However, the distribution of scholarships is equitable among the states of the NER.

7. Scholarship Disbursement

The scholarship amount is directly transferred to the bank account of the student. The scholarship holder should have an Aadhar-linked bank account to avail of the scholarship.

8. Renewal of Scholarship

The scholarship is renewable for every academic year based on the academic performance of the student. The student should secure a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grades in the previous year’s exam.

9. Scholarship Cancellation

The scholarship may get canceled if the student fails to attend classes or exams regularly or has more than two backlogs in their course.

10. Deadline for Renewal of Scholarship

The deadline for the renewal of the scholarship is the same as the application deadline, i.e., before November 30th every year.
