Michael Jordan is undoubtedly one of the greatest basketball players of all time. With six NBA championships, five MVP awards, and fourteen All-Star selections, he has cemented his legacy as an icon of the sport. However, what most people don’t know is that Michael Jordan had a wide range of hobbies and interests that extended beyond the court.
Golf was one of Jordan’s biggest hobbies. He was known to hit the links frequently, both for pleasure and for competition. In fact, Jordan became so good at golf that he was eventually invited to play in the Pro-Am at the 2019 PGA Tour event known as the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
Another one of Jordan’s interests was cigars. In addition to golf and cigars, Jordan was also an avid motorcycle enthusiast. He owned a variety of different bikes, including a Harley-Davidson and several custom-built motorcycles. Jordan even rode his bike to Bulls games on occasion, much to the surprise of his teammates!
Jordan’s love of competition extended beyond basketball as well. He was known to be fiercely competitive in everything he did, whether it was playing cards or racing teammates in cars. Jordan’s competitive spirit was on full display when he took up racing himself, driving for a season in the minor league baseball league.
Overall, Michael Jordan’s hobbies and interests exemplify the man himself: multifaceted, driven, and always looking for a new challenge. While basketball may be what he’s most known for, it’s clear that his passions extend far beyond the court.
