The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the education sector drastically. With educational institutions closed, online learning has become the new normal. To keep up with the changing times, the Madhya Pradesh government has announced new policies and plans for online education.

One of the significant changes is the introduction of the Rajya Shiksha Kendras (RSK), which are set up in every district of the state. These centers offer tele-counselling services to students and provide access to digital equipment for online learning. They also offer assistance to teachers with online teaching methods and support parents in their children’s online learning journey.

The government has also launched a portal, named “DigiLEP,” which offers free online courses for teachers. These courses cover various topics like digital literacy, online safety, and virtual classroom management. The aim of this initiative is to equip teachers with the required skills to teach students online effectively.

Furthermore, the government is also offering scholarships for students who drop out of college due to financial difficulties. Under the scheme, the beneficiaries will receive an amount of INR 25,000 per annum for undergraduate courses and INR 30,000 per annum for postgraduate courses. This initiative aims to reduce the dropout rate in the state and provide equal opportunities to all students.

Apart from these initiatives, the Madhya Pradesh government has also launched the “Vidyarthi Aadhar Abhiyan” program. This program aims to provide a unique identification number to every student in the state. The number will contain the student’s academic record and will be used to track their academic progress. This initiative aims to improve the efficiency of the education system and provide accurate information to students, parents, and teachers.

In conclusion, the Madhya Pradesh government’s announcement of new policies and plans for online education is a step in the right direction. These initiatives aim to provide quality education to every student, regardless of their financial background. With the support of teachers, parents, and the government, we can successfully transition to a more digitalized education system.
